Took advanatage of the Southwest deal last week and booked our flights for the January Trip $200 round trip from Buffalo. Need to step up the training though.
How'd the Wine and Dine half Marathon go for ya? I'm flying SW out of Buffalo as well friday morning.....whens your flights?
Wine and Dine was a tough race I don't know if it was because it was late or very humid. I beat my personal best by 2 minutes even though I had to walk a couple of miles. I did record the entire race though there didn't seem to be as much happening compared to the January 1/2 it was disappointing that there weren't any spectators allowed on the route probably because of the safety concerns. I hope to have a full review on the next podcast. We are flying out Wednesday that way we were able to get free dining for out entire trip. 6:30 am flight I like arriving early enough to get a full day out of the parks although my family isn't thrilled.
Congrats on the personal best!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ; Look forward to the podcast and keep on running...........
Northernmouse - was the wine and dine the same route as the 1/2 in January? ; Just curious if you got a taste of what it will be like to run it. ; It will also be interesting to run it so early in the morning. ; So far running in the evening seems to work well for me. ;
Ssshhh about the time.......were trying not to acknowledge what time it really starts until we arrive.....nothing should start at that time. ; Especially for those of you on the west coast. ; It'll all be good, lets just pray for good weather this year
Yes, us on the west coast will be struggling at that time in the morning. ; We will almost have to show up a few days early to get over the jet lag of it all. ; All I can say is when it is the night before hopefully Sean and I will be in bed sleeping like babies super early in the evening.
The route for the 1/2 is quite different from the Wine and Dine we didn't run through the Magic Kingdom. I think I liked the 1/2 route better actually except for the parts you were in the parks there was a lot of nothing.
