Tickets for MagicMeets in Camp Hill PA went on sale yesterday is anyone from the disneymagic community going? I purchased tickets for my whole family again this year. For those who don't know it's a gathering of Disney Fans in PA it used to be called DisMeets. This year it's being held at Camp Hill PA about a 7hr drive from Toronto. There are breakout sessions where you can hear presentations and ask questions. This year Fred Block has confirmed Deb Wills and Steve Barrett will be back as well as Lou Mongello and the WDW today Podcast will be broadcasting live all day. If you do plan on going get your tickets this week they sold out in 10 days last year. There is room for 500 guests and 900 are registered on the website.

MagicMeets is a gathering of like minded Disney fans. It's like a more intimate Mousefest if your familiar with that. One of the big draws for me is that I get to meet and interact with people I've met on various boards and though podcasting. The information sessions are informative and it's an opportunity to talk face to face with people about their expertise. For example if you ever thought of going on a cruise Deb Wills is a verteran of cruising. There are prizes and silent auctions. When we go down we make a vacation out of it and Last year we went to Gettysburg which is only an hour away. For those who are wondering about MagicMeets - I was unsure myself when we first planned on going last year; really did not know what to expect. ; First off everyone was very friendly and mostly decked out in disney apparel - this was a great ice-breaker - to talk to people about their t-shirts, jeans, etc. ; A very undisney thing about it was that the huge line moved very quickly! ; There was a large variety of breakout sessions to attend - something for everyone. ; It made me want to start planning our next Disney vacation. ; This event brings a bit of the magic of disney to PA in the middle of summer. ; Oh, they also had a segway available for people to try. ; This was cool. ; I had seen people on them at Epcot, but had never been on one myself. ; By the end of the day I had made up my mind to come back the next year. ; The following day we went to Gettysburg to tour the battle fields. ; Hersey Park is also nearby - we may go there this year. ;
