a couple from the country bears, and i really have some hostility for whatever bean counter at disney decided to shave costs by not decorating the bears for christmas, it's now 2 years in a row so historically that means it's never to be seen again, lack of public outcry

Oh, I miss those days...I hated it when they removed this attraction from DL!

Country Bears was my grandfather's favorite attraction at WDW. The last one has good color and that was my problem last time. I took some pics of country bears last time I was there and it surprisingly wasn't as hard to shoot as I thought it would be. My camera doesn't perform well in low light but it did fine in country bears.

The Bears are well-lit while the theatre itself isn't. I really think Disney is going to see the Bears leave WDW sooner rather than later. Maybe when Adventureland becomes Piratesland?

DL: They got rid of the Bears to add Pooh, even though they had a proposal on the table to add Pooh to the defunct Motorboat Cruise river that still sits vacant to this day, a victim of the "must close one ride to open another at a Disney park" philosophy that used to reign supreme under Emperor Eisner.

I hope not. That is too good of an attraction to get rid of. Fortunately its in Frontierland, so the possible re-theming of Adventureland shouldn't affect it.

I think Jim Hill's comments re: the Christmas redo in this week's MDP hit the nail on the head. Audio-animatronics don't capitivate the audiences like they used to. "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" would be a bomb in today's market.

Besides, what theme park attraction-based movie was the worst bomb for WDP? (And almost killed their highly successful trilogy of another)
