March of the Clans during the Opening Ceremonies of the CNY Scottish Games brought out the senior clansmen. A proud people, the Scots.
Ah, there's nothing like the sound of a pipe band. ; Great shots, Scott. ; Too bad there's no audio to go with them.
With my Scot-Irish background I would've been in heaven there. ; Would've drove my wife nuts though....she thinks I'm nuts because I think there is no such thing as too much bagpipe
You'd have been in heaven, Ray. ; The Massed Band parade had hundreds of bagpipes and band competitions all afternoon. ; Solo ones were done in the morning. ; From the moment I entered the festival grounds and until I left, 6 hours later, I could hear pipes being played.
I hear the bagpipes AND the drums. ; Nothing like Amazing Grace on the pipes.... Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
Great shot Scott. ; The color is LEAPING off of my screen followed by the sound of the pipes and drums.
Thanks, Howie and Jeff. ; There was some dancing gong on, too. ; Here's a young lass competing in the Highland Dance. Dancer 179 by Scottwdw, on Flickr
