My son was in marching band since he was in 7th grade. ; Normally the band takes a big trip for the High School kids at least once during their high school years. ; Unfortunately, never happened while my son was in band during his high school years. ; So the first year after his graduation, they take a trip to WDW!! ; Knowing that we were going to be there at the same time, and the fact that so few kids could actually afford the trip, they asked him to march with them. He is the one nearest the camera. ; He was so excited and really enjoyed marching again and getting the Disney Performing Arts bag. ; Normally he had really long hair during school and they would have to pin it up for each performance. ; So what does he do literally the day after his last performance - he cuts his hair short!!
Very exciting! ; I am sure he was pumped to be able to do it. ; I remember being there in 2009 and watching the three HS bands come down Main Street and you could see the excitement and pride on all their faces!
