"My"[nb]He's a Abyssinian Blue and acts like a dog. ; He waits by the front door for me to come home, he follows me around the house, he grooms me, so I guess he's "mine".[/nb] cat only likes to talk to my son. ; I rented the Sigma 150/2.8 Macro for the weekend, and got this during their "conversation" yesterday.

Great shot. Animals can be so funny the way they try to communicate with people. My son's dog does the same thing.

I wonder if that's what my cat is a blend of?! ; My stray I got last year from my backyard has fairly distinct American Shorthair coloration, but is much skinnier, has a thinner, longer face, and bigger ears. ; I don't know much about cats at all (I had to look up American Shorthair to find out what her colors were)...but your photo seems to be a cat with a very similar facial build, nose, and ears.

Plus, mine is enormously talkative, which most folks who own American Shorthairs haven't mentioned as a common trait. ; She lets out an almost constant stream of squeaks, grunts, whines, meows, and mews while looking at me...as if trying to communicate something but I'm the dumb human who doesn't always get the message. ; I get the same reactions - waiting at the door for me to come home, following me wherever I go in the house, licking my hands and arms, lying next to me on the couch, etc.

Lovely shot by the way - catching it in a 'talk'!
