Drove by a Mexican Restaurant and noticed the great colors.

I like the first one a lot Craig.

The second one - the sign in the door is distracting to me. But the first one....really really really nice.

Thanks Roger. I took the first one another step and cloned out the light and umbrella stand.

The one with the door, I wasn't sure either about the signs. I chose to leave them since the door is some kind of service door and I thought the signs helped convey reality.
Also, I took your advice and bumped up the contrast in camera for the first time ever. It worked here!
    Thanks.

I didn't even notice them until you mentioned cloning them out!

Glad the contrast boost worked for you. I noticed the same "problem" with the 80-400 on my day 3 pics from SWO. And while I'm only about 33% done with the pics of that day, my jaw is still on the floor noticing how I was able to keep up with a macaw in flight during the dolphin show there. Granted it was flying away rather than across the field of view, but no way off focus shots here....

Contrast boost you say? I have my D70 set at 0 Contrast. What did you try Craig?

I was wondering how your 80-400VR experience went. I think it gets a bad rap only becuase it was one of the first VR lenses Nikon came out with. I know there's been rumors (for like two years now) of Nikon updating it "any day now" but I really like the results I get with mine.

I'll have to summarize it later. I only used it two days during my 9 day trip - one at Sea World, and the other at DAK. The 18-200 never came off other than for that after Day 2 when the 50 passed away.

Hey Roger, do you think that Contrast boost would work on my swimming action shots as well? I posted some new ones from the last couple weeks on the thread I started. Check them out when you get a chance & let me know what you think.

I also like the first shot of the Mexican Restaurant. That is some Fantastic coloring on that building. Great Job!!!
