here's a couple more from the rhythm & roots music festival i was at labor day weekend, the first is an image of an image, this year they had a large screen projected on from behind, live from the stage, taken from my seat that evening the second is of paul cebar & the milwaukeeans, an r&b band from milwaukee, both taken with my tamron 28-75 f2.8, a lens that i thought would be total trash on the 5d, i'm somewhat pleasantly surprised by the images, and i know i got the stage equivalent of a solar flare, but i think it was just the angle i was shooting from, they keep a clear walkway in front that you are allowed to creep along and shoot from as long as you don't stay there all night, so i'd go back for each act any one have any suggestions on how to avoid the flare, i could crop it out but i think that would detract from the story telling, musician at work, in the full size you can see how he's working up a fine sweat, laying down that groove [This attachment has been purged. Nice shots, Gary. I haven't even tried my 28-75 on my 5D yet. Basically just figuring out the 24-105 and the 50 f/1.4.
