Alcoholic beverages from cider are made from the fermented juice of apples and are known in the U.S. and Canada as hard cider (per Wikipedia). Non-alcoholic ciders don't use juice that is fermented. ;

In England, I was introduced to Strongbow cider. ; You can buy it at the Rose and Crown Pub at Epcot and is very good.
