Gonna trade in my old Minolta Maxxum 35mm for one of those new fangled SLR cameras. Looking at a Sony DSLR-A100 K (alpha), mainly cause the lenses that I do have will fit it. I guess Minolta sold out to Sony. Gonna be saving my pennies over the next several months, but I was curious if any of the members know anything about this camera. The reviews I have read seem like its a pretty solid camera. KevinT
the a100 is a newfangled 7D with a few bells and whistles. apparently new cameras will come out in the summer/fall. but sony is in trouble right now (think P3) so its unlikely that they will hit their targets on time. but its just a guess. you could pick up a used digital minolta. they sold out to sony but it means sony will service the minolta cameras if minolta won't. so pick up a used 7D off keh.com and you're getting pretty much the same camera.
P3? How about firestarting batteries and a HUGE batch of CCDs that have failed. Canon & Nikon had to recall a lot of models due to it.
