I just got the shipping conformation for my new tripod and head that I ordered yesterday! ; The legs should be here tomorrow and the head should arrive next week. ; After 8 years of abuse faithful service, my Bogen 3021Pro has seen better days... ; One of the rubber feet was lost in an argument with a door on the metro trains in DC, and the other two are worn almost all the way through[nb]Bogen Manfrotto does not offer replacments for the original feet, only spiked feet, which I don't like[/nb]. ; The cam locks on the legs have worn out and need to be tightened after a full day of use, the grip pads on the handles on the 3047 head have come loose from the handle and have a tendency to spin when I want to make them really tight. ; So it was time to get a new one. ; After much deliberation I decided on the Gitzo GT3541XLS and a Really Right Stuff BH55 ball head with lever release. ; Moose Peterson let me mess around with his setup out at the DLWS event that I attended, and I loved it. ; I struggled with the price for a while but finally decided that this was the setup that I really wanted so I might as well just bite the bullet and get it. ; I'll try to do a little review of the setup after I have a chance to shoot with it if anyone is interested.
I'm looking to get a new tripod in the near future. ; Craig, I am curious to know what you got, if you don't mind telling.

Craig, I think I have those legs. ; I don't take them to the parks much anymore because they don't collapse down small enough
