    Continuing my recent night shooting excursions in Epcot, I also had the opportunity several nights to shoot around the Epcot Resort area, on Crescent Lake...since I was staying at Boardwalk. ; I shot a few different ways - sometimes I was shooting high ISO handheld while walking around...other times I was shooting longer exposures but without tripod - just steadying the camera on a fence, bench, garbage can, or rail. And a few were tripod too. Nights were hot, but still lovely for shooting. ; Here's what I got -

    The Boardwalk queue for the boats. ; Been there many times.

    Isn't the Epcot resort area photogenic? ; Especially at night with all the reflects you captured. ; Well done, sir!

    Justin, have you ever considered using an off-camera flash? ; The Boardwalk benches and the globe in the Yacht Club lobby might have been a tad bit better with a little light added in.

    Thanks Scott! ; Indeed, I have a flash, and it can be used wirelessly off camera. ; Problem is...I often end up taking shots like this after a day wandering the parks, and coming back towards my room - and the flash is back in the room. ; It's sort of spontaneous on the shots, so I make do with what I have on me at the time. ; If it's something interesting or that I really like, I might put it on a 'shot list' as a future idea to go back and shoot again with more intent.

    Of course, the Yacht Club lobby wasn't even with my DSLR- it was taken with my little pocket cam as I was headed back from MK after the MSEP - the Boardwalk line was sickeningly crowded, but Yeacht/Beach's bus line was only 20 people...so I swapped to that line and walked across to Boardwalk (I have no idea why more people on the Boardwalk line didn't figure that one out...they were going to be waiting for 3 busses to load to get that whole line). ; My DSLR was all put away and zipped up, but my ultracompact is usually sitting in a pocket - I decided to just take a quickie handheld of that lobby as I passed through. ; It's not bad for an ultracompact.

    Hey Rog...I can't vouch for the Inn side, but I love the DVC side!

    Thanks Craig. ; And sorry Jeff about the blockage...try getting the boss into photography, maybe that'll help! ; ;) ; Then again...no worries, you'll soon be outta there.

    Great series of shots. I love the Boardwalk area and really like the way that the light plays off of the water at night.

    Thanks for sharing.

    Awesome shots!!! ; I have never done any night shots in the Boardwalk, and it make me want to take an evening this summer to just shoot there. ;

    Thanks guys. ; I'd strongly recommend it John...it's such a scenic area for night shooting. ; The Boardwalk itself lends itself to handheld closeup work of details, shallow focus stuff with great light bokeh, and amazing reflections, Yacht and Beach are that beautiful still and reflective look, the lighthouse on the dock is a subject all its own, interiors are great, Swan and Dolphin actually look quite lovely at night (some feel in daylight, not so much!), bridges, neon signs, dockwork, street candids, boats at night, that little gazebo, Epcot visible in the distance, and a short walk to catch a gorgeous DHS entrance shot from across the lake. ; I could spend 2 nights shooting exclusively there!

    Awesome shots. ; We were at the BoardWalk Villas (new favorite resort on property!!!) for 8 days of our honeymoon, and I have some fairly similar shots that I need to get processed. ; Wonderful set!

    Terrific series, Justin. I've long been a fan of the Crescent Lake area, both for photography and for quiet relaxation.

    To me, the money shots in this series are the Boardwalk bench and the Dolphin shot. Publication quality, both of them.

    Justin these are wonderful! ; Thanks for sharing, and I can't wait to be out of here. ; I am down to about 21 days before I move my wife and son. ; I'll be there for 2 weeks at that time, so I am hoping to catch Tim when he is there with his family, and anyone else that might be there at the end of July for that matter.

    Thank you all...comments much appreciated! ; I do love night photography and have been experimenting and learning since my second digital camera in 2003...it has helped get some familiarity with the settings needed, though I still blow a few! ; Great thing about digital...just shoot again. ; And again. ; Until you get it right.

    Jeff...I'm pretty sure I'll be up there again before Pixelmania, but I don't yet know when. ; I'm working on my next cruise, which may be sometime near the end of October or early November...that would give me time maybe in September to be back up there. ; So it all depends on the cruise right now.

    I finally got around to looking at these on my "good" monitor. ; They look even better than I thought. ; In #7 of the Dolphin, I love how the light on those big bowls makes them look like translucent green glass.
