saw that comparison too Roger and thought it was pretty funny. The D3 sure has some low noise for such high ISO ;D
Yeah but it's not fair to compare noise at 100% crop to be the same size image! from a 21MP to a 12MP. Technically they're not even competitors! The Ds line is more for studios/weddings, while the D3 is obviously aimed at PJ & Sportsshooters, and those Nikon lovers who have been demanding a FF sensor.. And gee, it's CMOS. I thought CCD had less noise. What am I talking about, look at my siggie....
