pilgrimage planned for september

i know it's a little early to announce, but look for a trip report in september from me, maybe done same day. i am doing another list item, some of you may have noticed i have a baseball thing, well one of my life objectives is to see a major league game in every stadium, i'm actually just over 1/3 done. although i don't know if i would have to redo yankee and citi as i counted old yankee stadium and shea as accomplished. so 9/21 - 9/25 i will be flying to st louis to nail busch stadium, 9/23, cards vs cubs. the relevance to this site is that when i land wednesday night, i get a rental, and off i go towards marceline, missouri. so thursday 9/22 i will be at the walt disney childhood museum, located in the old railroad depot of marceline. ; interesting to me because walt only lived in marceline for slightly short of 5 years, yet he based main street on his memories of living there from ages 5-10. the museum is reputed to have many items donated by the disney family, so i hope to gain more insight into the man whose dreams and creations have brought so much enjoyment into my own life. plus as a railfan i get to watch some of the 60+ trains a day that go through marceline on the double track bnsf. saturday i get a bonus, it's the taste of st louis festival, blues,brews and food. oh yeah
