Am I missing something? POTC At World's End is supposed to be out in four month's and except for the pictures from the link below I haven't heard or seen much from Disney on it. Shouldn't there be trailers, posters etc. out already? I'm really excited about the third movie but starting to wonder if there are problems and its going to be delayed? The release date is supposed to be May 25 2007, but no trailers yet? The Harry Potter movie is out July 13 2007 and the trailers and posters have been out for months.
Maybe they're waiting 'til the end of January. ; They've got a couple of classics going into "the vault", and they've been pushing that info pretty heavily... add to that the fact that Christmas is generally a pretty big season for movie releases, and perhaps this was just a marketing decision to avoid it getting lost in all the other things being promoted at this time of year? Or... when did they actually wrap? ; I know IMDB says it's in post-production, maybe they just haven't cut the trailers together yet? ; The trend lately has been to avoid heavy promotion until about 3 weeks before release... it reduces consumer boredom. ; You'll probably find that trailers for the Harry Potter movie will taper off significantly now that the Christmas season is over... but that's just a guess.
I know a pirate who was in At World's End, opening is set for May 25th, 4 months, 8 days 'till the end to be exact. Furthermore, Dead Man's Chest and At World's End were filmed at the same time, so they wrapped a long time ago with a post party and all.
The next POC movie and another Harry Potter film this year.... ; cool. ; Can't wait. ; We just have to drive to the city to a "real" theatre!!! ;
