As suggested by Grumpwurst, if you have any extra seats for an ADR during Pixelmania that you want to offer to the group, you can post them here. I'll start it off with breakfast at Kona Cafe on Thursday, Dec. 3 at 7:45 am (be there at 7:30). ; Anyone care to join me? SORRY, this ADR is full: Dennis (ddindy) Gary (gary) Jeremy (jermsworld) Jason (zeagle) If more of you want to join us, I'm willing to try to add more people, or you can start your own ADR. If you need transportation, I'll have a car. ; I'm staying at Pop and swinging by the Beach Club to pick up Gary. ; It's also morning EMH at the Magic Kingdom, so Disney transportation should be up and running early.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a dinner ADR on Thursday prior to the Ft Wilderness meet? ; Also, anyone interested in a group dinner for that. By the way, I should be getting my TIW card that day when I activate my AP. ; So, it will be available for any meal meets that we decide to do. I am going to go over to the dining site now and look for lunch available for Epcot & AK. Robbie
if you are going to fort wilderness, i would go to trail's end. ; good comfort food and lowest price buffet on property.
11:50 Tusker House on 12/5 I have a reservation for Tusker House on our AK day. ; I made the reservation for 4 so there are 3 spots if anyone is interested. I didn't find too much available near FW on the 3rd. I also didn't find anything for lunch at DHS on the 5th. On the 4th at lunch it looks like Nine Dragons, Biergarten, Chefs De France, and San Angel Inn may have availability, but I didn't book anything.
Trails End is good for Ft Wilderness day for sure...or as an alternate idea, Whispering Canyon in Wilderness Lodge is always tasty and fun - all you can eat BBQ, and it's right next to Ft. Wilderness - just a boat ride over. ; It's actually worth going to the hotel too, since they look great at night and have a big tree in the lobby.
Whispering Canyon (a tableservice) is good, just not as good as Trail's End (a buffet) in my opinion. ; Tim introduced me to Trail's End....good cheap food I'm glad people liked my idea of posting threads with your ADR's and number of open slots. ; It looks like it'll make it much easier to coordinate meals
Hey Dennis, ; If you still have openings for the Kona Cafe, I'm game. ; I'll be taking a bus from All Star, but should be there with plenty of time to walk around the Polynesian. ;
For those of you interested, only two spots left at the Yak & Yeti on Saturday http://www.themagicinpixels.com/forum/h ... ic.php?t=0
I'm looking at the schedule for Sunday, Dec. 6 and see a big hole around supper time. ; I thought I'd throw out a few ideas for places that don't require ADRs: Big River - a short walk from the Studios, good food and beer Beaches and Cream - Burgers and malts, yum! If you want to venture off-site, I'm always up for a trip to one of the wing emporiums in the area. ; There's a Hootersjust outside of Downtown Disney, and Winghouse has re-opened their Kissimmee restaurant.
I love ESPN Zone as a walk-in eatery. ; Good food too. ; Close to MGM. ; Beer. ; What about that as an option? ; Works for me, BTW.
I'm willing to try ESPN, but on a Sunday afternoon won't it be packed with football fans? ; (Sadly, there are only two NHL games on Dec. 6, and they're both in the evening.)
Ah...I thought we were targeting dinner time. ; It will likely be a bit more crowded in the afternoon - I guess the late game will still have some crowd in there. ; Then again, I rarely sit in the 'restaurant' section - I always saddle up in the bar section/free for all seating - hover long enough, and you can usually get a table or two inside 15 minutes even when it's crowded. I guess it would depend on when we'd be looking to go there. ; If it's too crowded, I'm fine with Big River or Beaches & Cream too. ; Just throwing out ideas!
