At first I thought this event would have to be moved as I forgot Toontown opened later than the rest of the Magic Kingdom. ; Luckily, the Cast Members dropped the rope to Toontown 10 minutes early and I meet Jim and Erich at the path between Toontown and Tomorrowland. ; While we waited for the others to show up. ; The Roy O. Disney came by with the engineer giving us a great show. I would like to thank the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for providing the Goodyear Blimp for aerial views of the Panning 101 meet. You should see the blimp during the broadcast of this year's Disney Christmas parade. 10 Pixelmania attendees learned all of my Panning tips with Dennis Dindy adding his tips from his experience photographing at the real Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Here are a few of my shots. ; Looking forward to seeing everyone's panning shots from the meet! This Dad was a bit nervous when his son took his eyes off the road. He was probably wondering why there was 10 cameras being pointed at his race car. A vertical pan. ; Also was using Gary's Gold/Blue polarizer filter. A Mom enjoying the driving of her young daughter.
Looks like you represented TMIP very nicely, Scott. ; Thanks for hosting the meet and sorry I missed it. ;
Thanks, Tim. ; Like all the meets, once I got done with my opening spiel, everyone gave advice and helped each other. ; The train came by a few times so it was panning, train, blimp, panning, train, blimp. ; ;D So, don't hesitate to post train and blimp photos on this thread people. ;
Good stuff Scott. ; I did some panning during the LMA show - but I don't know if any of it was any good. ; I'll have to post one on Flickr. Sorry, again guys that I didn't get the chance to meet up. ; I "tweeted" that Olivia was not up for it - I think she was really digging the one on one time with Daddy. I'll have to give it another shot next year!
Missed meeting up with you, too, Joe! ; Hope you can make it next time. ; Well, any Dad who can supply the Jonas Brothers for his little girl is hard to beat!!! ;
Nice shots! I missed the train this time around, will have to catch next time around. Got 2 panning shots from the meet. [attachments posted prior to 4/27/2010 have been deleted by admin. be sure to link images to make sure they don't get removed]
Still need to work on my panning technique, but this gent was happy to be photographed by The Magic In Pixels entourage. [attachments posted prior to 4/27/2010 have been deleted by admin. be sure to link images to make sure they don't get removed]
I'm going to need to work on my panning technique, as I didn't get much in the way of blurred backgrounds. I did however get 2 shots I like. I'll add one of mine to the group. ; Not the greatest, but then I'm used to cars moving 30 times faster!
