Sea World trip was cancelled; heavy rain was a little too much to risk. ; But between the storms I was able to get down to the Longhorn Dam of Lady Bird Lake downtown; I had seen a bunch of Snowy Egrets there recently at lunchtime at work. ; I may have to go back tomorrow! Yeah, it's been great so far. ; It's making dream of renting the 300/2.8 to throw the 2x TC on. ; (1200/5.6 in a little more portable package. ; And cheaper too. ; Heck I could get the 300/2.8, and send a few kids to college[nb]In-state, your mileage may vary.[/nb] for less than one 1200/5.6) I was using a monopod for support, and considering that there was 45mph traffic less than 3 feet behind me for most of these shots.....

Thanks Craig! I think the rock in the first one is underwater right now....I should go back before PM, which may be a good reason to test out the new toy which should be arriving tomorrow....
