Here's the place to show your shots of Pandora at night - not quite 'blue hour' as intended as we got a late start!
As usual, lazy me didn't want to bring the tripod to the park because the weather started out all grey and nasty and I didn't think it would be worth lugging around. In the end, the weather cleared just in time for the evening shoot, so I was stuck doing handheld. Oh well - it was too crowded anyway so I didn't mind missing out, and the weather was nice and cold so it was pleasant (for me). Here's one of my handhelds with stabilization plus a post to lean on:
jbwolffiv, thank you. Can I ask what tripod you use? I have a Prima Photo Small Travel Tripod, but want something better. I’m thinking about a MeFoto Globetrotter Carbon.
I have the Mefoto Roadtrip Aluminum in cool looking blue! https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/892884-REG/Benro_a1350q1b_MEFOTO_A1351QA_Tripod_Kit.html
Thanks for the tripod information. I’m now trying to decide between the MeFoto Roadtrip and Globetrotter and Aluminum And Carbon? Not a lot of difference in weights between Carbon and aluminum, and between the 2 models, Globetrotter holds more weight.
Thats what I noticed when I looked at both the other day. The Globetrotter holds about 10 more pounds.
Some more of the amazing Pandoran plant (?) life. (I discovered that moving the white balance way over to the warm end helps remove some of the everpresent blue/purple glow.) Evening on Pandora
I had to do a little exposure stacking in Elements to balance the light and dark parts pf this shot. Twilight on Pandora
