Got out today to shoot some nicer pics of the new car from a few different angles, instead of the snapshots taken at the dealership...so here's the new ride from all sides:
Thanks guys. ; I was almost back home after driving around town looking for someplace 'scenic' I could shoot - and then I saw this corporate center, which was closed for Good Friday. ; So I took advantage! ; I'd love to find a place to get a little ocean and beach behind the car, but that's surprisingly difficult in Florida, since there aren't many places where the parking sits right on the beach.
photos of the new car - Interior shots too Thank you Leo & Howie. ; Loving the new ride - though the downside is it's making me drive around more on the weekend just to enjoy driving it, which is going to cost me more at the pump as I keep wasting fuel on trips to nowhere! I also snapped a few shots of the interior, to compliment the exterior shots and complete the picture of the car...in case anyone's interested: The controls for the air conditioned and massaging driver's seat:
Thanks Jeff. ; That was probably the last time I'll be in my own back seat, where I had to go to get those photos!
More real than you may think, Roger! ; Aside from the now normal voice from the navigation system that talks to you - it also automatically detects my phone when I get in the car and brings up my address book and caller list on the nav screen and center dash screen, and flashes on the dash screen with caller ID when incoming calls are there, and with the steering wheel buttons I can dial, go to speakerphone, and talk (this despite the phone being in my pocket - weird). ; I can bring up a real-time weather radar on the center screen to see showers coming in. ; The nav system tells me when there's an accident on the road ahead, and how long the delay is. ; The thing is practically HAL!
If you get a very hairy friend to sit next to you, would you be able to say "Punch it Chewie!!" and then enter hyperspace?
I may have to try that. ; I'm sure I could dig around the internet and find the wookie noise to play over the stereo...that might help put the car in the mood.
