Ok, so I just looked at the operational schedule on the office WDW site and it says that Spaceship earth will be closed for refurbishment the following days: June 22 to June 23, 2007 July 9 to July 31, 2007 August 1 to August 31, 2007 September 1 to September 30, 2007 October 1 to October 31, 2007 That is as far as their schedule goes.
The phased closings of Spaceship Earth begin next week, as the attraction will have its first short closure from May 7-10. Another short closure will take place from June 22-23, before the major refurbishment begins on July 9. The attraction will then remain closed through at least the end of October, and likely longer than that. In the meantime, a new Web site, EpcotSpaceshipEarth.com, has been set up to give some hints at what's to come (and to promote the attraction's new sponsor, Siemens AG).
I'm so happy it will be open the May 11-12 weekend while I'm there I'm going to make sure to ride it at many times as possible.
