So for as long as I can remember well, we have flown from BC to California to visit Disneyland. ; This summer we are making the road trip. ; According to various internet mapping sources it is about 23 hours of driving time from my house. ; I can't decide if we should push through in 2 very long driving days or 3 days that allows time for a few stops of interest. ; I would like to do 3 but that adds another night/hotel somewhere. ; We do plan 3 or 4 days on the return trip so we can travel a different route and make a quick stop in Las Vegas. ; I am looking forward to the drive as I like driving and seeing different sights. ; Anyone have comments / ; suggestions/ experiences to share?
I think it would depend on the ages of any children travelling. ; We drive to Nfld. in the summer - with wee ones, you have to stop often, and break up the long drive. ; DVD players will only entertain for so long.
I personally like getting to Disney as fast as possible so I would do 2 days if the kids can handle it. It's about the same distance for me to drive to WDW and thats what we used to do when we drove. Coming back you have a great idea and having other things to see on the way that would definately make the usually depressing drive home easier.
We did the road trip from BC to Disneyland in July ... here is a trip report with pictures! http://www2.nethop.net/~sparkes/index.htm
