Settings for Sony Cybershot

Discussion in 'Digital Cameras & Equipment' started by Sonny Eclipse (Colin C), Oct 19, 2007.

  1. Hey everyone, I am new here and looking for help.

I have a Sony Cybershot DSC P-72. I have typically been using the auto settings and sometimes get great pictures but am looking to get better pictures more consistently.

Does anyone have any advice on settings for great day time and night time pictures? I am heading to Mousefest and want to try and get some good pictures.

(I'm working on my wife for a new SLR camera ;D)

Nighttime: Twilight mode if nobody in the picture, twilight portrait if there is. You may need a tripod.

Daytime: landscape mode more than likely.

Your camera also has the ability to adjust the exposure up or down, depending on the exact lighting/backlighting of the scene.

See pg 50 and 58 of your manual.
