Last week I was at the Boulder Ridge DVC, with a lovely 5th floor view over the lake - as it faces directly east, I heard SpaceX was planning a 3am launch from Kennedy Space Center, and set the alarm to wake up and head out to the balcony to watch and shoot. It was a lovely clear night with the 1/3 crescent moon rising about 25 minutes before the launch:
Thank you. The time was a little early in the AM, but I was not in any early rush on a summer trip, so didn't mind waking up to shoot it, then back to bed and slept in later in the morning.
