I thought I would start up a thread for those who have seen the movie and wanted to talk about it. I've just gotten back from seeing the movie and was not blown away with it. I thought the first two movies were way better. This one just got too wierd in places. This is still a better movie that alot I have seen but I think with all the anticipation I just felt it was lacking. The first hour was great but then it went downhill. It was awsome hearing the ride audio in the movie though. Did everyone stay until after the credits and see the bonus scene?
Sean and I seen the movie last night. ; Unfortunately I was a bit tired and had a hard job almost following the movie in places. ; It was good, and started off being funny and whitty, but it is too bad that didn't stay going. We heard the sound from the ride as well. ; I hit Sean when we heard it and yes, we actually sat through that HUGE list of credits to see the bit at the end. ; I kind of liked it, but I wish it would have happened before those really long credits. ; They just kept going and going...
There were a lot of funny bits... but I agree... there were a few times that left you saying "huh?". ; The scene after the credits (and yes, holy credits batman) was short but verrry big. ; I loved Keith Richards, but there wasn't very much of him. Sooo... POC-4... the Fountain of Youth.
I'm going to watch the movie again this weekend. I've heard some people on different podcasts say they enjoyed it a whole lot more the second time around. Here's something I also heard that makes that scene at the the end even more important. Because Elizabeth waited for Will to return his obligation has ended. Davy Jones remained cursed because Tia Doma didn't remain faithful. Does any one know what mark Jack left on Cutler Beckett it's mentioned in the second movie but is never explained (it is mentioned that they left their mark on each other.. Jack's is the pirate brand)?
