A couple of weeks ago I asked for help in planning a Disney week for my kids at school. Some how I pulled it off and the kids had a BLAST! Each day we had activities based on attractions from the Magic Kingdom The first day of course we started off by watching Steamboat Willie because of course "It was all started by a mouse!" Then we learned how to draw Mickey's head We also went on a hunt for Hidden Mickeys. These are pictures of actual hidden Mickeys that I used PS to turn into color pages and the kids colored the HMs red. On Tuesday We made fireworks and colored Tiki Birds to make our own Enchanted Tiki Room! Thursday We sharpened our adding skills with Buzz Lightyear (the kids threw a blue velcro ping pong ball and a green ping pong ball at Zurgs and then added up their points) ; And Its A Small World (the kids looked at pictures of the dolls and wrote the name of the country the doll is from and colored the flag to match) And the kid's favorite - Teacup estimating! (Guess how many times you can spin and then count how many times you can actually spin!) On Friday we went on a Haunted Mansion ghost hunt! Our block area was turned into the Tomorrowland Indy Speedway and our Sensory Table was filled with pirate treasure from Pirates of the Carribean! The kids were able to earn pins to put on a special "pin strap" that they could trade - some of them actually did trade. Obviously these were not Disney pins - just acrylic jewels that I hot glued to safety pins! But we had a great week - definitely one I will be doing again! Thanks for your suggestions!
You should write that up for other teachers to use. ; You come up with the greatest stuff for your kids.
