Always liked approaching Magic Kingdom via boat from Fort Wilderness - it gives you that great peak of the icons of the park peeking over the trees from your peaceful lake cruise:

I think that picture would've been so much better if the boat hadn't snuck it's way in there

I kind of liked him in the shot...but it's certainly an easy remedy.

    Here ya go:

I disagree...the boat makes the photo more interesting, IMO. ; Kind of stark without it.

I like the boat. I love to include the different boats when I take pictures on the lakes. I think the boats add a "people" touch.

I guess I'm the kind that likes to have the appearance of I'm the only one there. ; Unfortunately, that isn't always the case.

But, my pictures tend to be sterile and clinical anyway :)

Thanks all. ; Actually Ray...my photos are usually much like yours - most of the time, I strive to have nobody else in my shots. ; But every once in a while, I like the juxtaposition or context it can provide. ; In this case, I just liked the little sprite going by, mainly because it reminded me of when I went to Disney as a teen and would rent those things!

They were a lot of fun to drive. ; I loved to run full speed across the ferry boat wake and make them jump a little

Oh yeah...did that all the time, at least until the guys in the speedboats would come by and warn you. ; And my step-brothers and I may have occasionally run full speed at the other's side, and turn hard just before so the wake would splash over and flood the other...not that I encourage that sort of thing. ; ;)

Gee...I still like to rent them. ; Anyone want to race? ; Last one to Ft Wilderness has to pay for the first round at Crockett's Tavern! ; :D

i like the boat too... ; adds to the foreground and gives a sense of scale.

I'd be the last one to Ft. Wilderness...probably because I'd be treading water in the middle of the lake with my sprite somewhere below me on the bottom. ; They're not exactly Pooh-friendly. ; ;)

Nice shot Justin to have both of those in the pic. That's why I like this one so much (although it is a bit wide, but I like all the color). Taken from the ferry. Different angle & different set of Icons.

Very cool. ; The water views in general are an oft-overlooked shot - you get some cool views of stuff peeking over the trees when approaching by boat...which is my favorite way to get around Disney property whenever available.

I was afraid of that. ; I can't tell if it's me or my work machine. ; Ok, let me go figure out how to post an image from Flickr.
