This was out my back yard the other night. ; We had several tornado's touch down in the area. ; One hit a hog farm with several hundred hogs. ; Destroyed all the buildings and only a hundred or so hogs were found. ; Same thing happened to a farmer with cows. ; You could see the cow hair on the fence wire but no cows in site. ; We think this storm touched down about a mile from us causing a tree to fall on a friends car while her 4 kids were in the car. ; A hot power line landed on the car. ; Everyone got out OK. ;
Great shot. ; Glad you escaped without damage. I've seen many of these in my nightmares, but the only real one I saw was from a safe distance (15 miles). ; The storm passed over the house, dropping bits of RVs from the dealership that it tore through.
The ones in Illinois passed 5 miles from the house I grew up in. ; And destroyed the historic downtown area of a rival town.
When I heard about the cows missing, I kept thinking about that movie, I think it was called Twister, where they are in a tornado and cows are flying around the air and they say, "We got cows!" ; Funny how crazy things like that stick in your mind during events like this.
