So unfortunately I don't have a better scanned image of this tree, but hopefully you get the idea. I love taking photos of trees, but this one in particular. I was driving along with my sister at the time when we drove past this tree on our way to a museum. I mentioned that I would like to stop and take a photo of the tree, but they didn't even see this weird looking tree. Anyways, when we go to the museum, the tree was everywhere. Carvings, photos, a metal sculpture. It was weird, and what I found out was even more interesting. The tree is dead. It was joined by two other trees, which did fall down and were removed. Although there is part of one of the trees in the picture. Once this third tree died and fell, the area decided it was too precious to get rid of so they put it back up using steel rods and bolts. I took this picture and a whole other two rolls of film when I just had an SLR and since then, I am dying to go back. Two years ago some idiot cut one of the main limbs off as well. What does the area do? Strap it back on. I guess it is the most photographed tree in Western Canada. And I just so pleased that I was just casually looking and seen something more than just a tree when we drove by.
