Another offensive was launched by the Empire against the Rebel's energy shield. ; Previous attacks have been unsuccessful, even though the campaigns in the Dallas and Houston quadrants have been.

This time they tried the ion cannons:

Oops! ; I need to turn off Auto ISO!

    Near Miss.

    That's the ticket.

In the end they failed to breach the shield and no mind controlling water fell from the skies.

    Thanks everyone!

This one was luck. ; The storm ended up going straight in my home's direction, so I was able to shoot with the storm not yet arriving.

In the end I bailed because shortly after the last shot the storm was almost overhead and didn't want to be a target in the middle of some open space...or get rained on. (which never materialized)

here is one of my lightning shots... ; pay no attention to the fact that there are no bolts in the sky, but do notice that this was taken at 2:11 IN THE MORNING!

    Roger,

Even with the Auto ISO left on the picture was impressive. ; My tree lines are too high for me to get those kinds of shots from my yard

Tim, I'd say that even though it was 02:11 that the shot is impressive! ; That was a pretty bright bolt of lightning.

Great stuff Roger! ; I have the same problem as Ray - trees in all direction pretty much blot out my view to any horizon...unfortunate with the amount of lightning we get down here!

I've only ever gotten one from my backyard:

It was close, it was loud, it was raining, and I was in the open by my pool barefoot on a wet deck holding a metal tripod. ; It was the last shot I took that night. ; :0
