The Raptor Project has come to the NY State Fair for the last few years. They display and educate with Birds of Prey they were not able to rehabilitate back into the wild. This eagle is missing half of one of his wings having lost it to buck shot a fews ago. They had the US flag behind him for photo ops.
Very nice. I had a chance to see a few eagles up close while an undergrad at Michigan State, at one of their animal sceinces buildings. I forgot just how unbelievably impressive they are.
great job with the owl, the framing with the branch is perfect imho, i think it wraps around the head perfectly, makes you immediately think the owl is peering around the tree at you the photographer
