I had the oppurtunity to go on a cruise to Bermuda last week. ; Just north of the town of St. Georges is an old run down church. ; It is called the Unfinished Church. ; Construction on this church started in 1874. The large Gothic structure was meant to be a replacement for St. Peter’s Church (Built in 1612 and still used today). Following a series of problems, including parish infighting, financial difficulties and a damaging storm, it was abandoned on the eve of its completion.

You used to be able to go inside but a sign was put up in the last year or so due to the structure being unstable.

Very cool. ; I always love going to the variety of island churches throughout the Caribbean (and we'll include Bermuda, even though it's waaaaaay up there) - everything from 400-year-old colonials to tiny little 2-pew-huts to ruins to gothic to iron to palm thatched.
