We are thinking about setting up an Illuminations Dessert party for TMIP 2014.

The cost of the event will be between 35 - 50 dollars (Exact pricing soon)

There are two events that we can do, a public one or a private one. If we get enough interest from you the TMIP member that will be joining us we will shoot (pun intended) for the private one.

This will give us the best seats in the house for the fireworks shows and some of the best Desserts on property.

can we have either starbucks or press pot coffee??? it's an actual little known or applied federal law to serve any fine desserts accompanied by hot swill

  3. Actually this is a pot luck dessert party (JOKING) so you can bring the Timmie's and the French press. I volunteer to bring the only dessert approved by camera nerds and that would be the "Brownies".

If, in the very remote chance I am able to make it this year, I would definitely be up for the private party.

Dennie and I would both be interested in the private party but would go with whatever you decide. If there's only a small group going, consider renting one of the pontoon boats for Illuminations. It' $300 for up to 10 people but we'd have to decide soon because you can book 180 days in advance and they go quickly. The down side is the boat does rock a little. We did this 2 years ago and my pictures didn't seem to have any motion artifacts.

  8. Ok I have a better plan! ; ;) SOME of us will book the dessert party and some of us will book the boat. The people at the dessert party can throw pastries at the boat people and then half way through the fireworks we will stage a mutiny and pilot the boat over to the dessert party and switch out with the land lubbers.

    What could go wrong???

I vote for getting an upgrade on the food. ; The base level is cookies and rice krispie treats. ; The next step up is cheese and fruit, much tastier. ; Get a quote for both.

Put me down for 1 "ticket" at whatever price point is decided. ; If I am unable to make it down I'll pass the ticket on to someone that is.

So how are we gonna do this? ; Every man/woman for themselves? ; As opposed to someone fronting the money and getting paid back? ; My vote would be for UK!

Well since I was planning it .. I was just going to set it for the UK .. but I also wanted to see numbers to see if we had enough for a private event.

    Sean, I am totally in!

  20. The way that is was done for the Magic in Pixels meet was that a pay pal account was set up and we paid through that. I'm not sure about the details of how that was set up all I know is that that's how we paid for our tickets.

I am definitely in for this party cheese or no cheese private or public. It will be only me this year as Evan has high school and Karl is Disney'ed out.

    Thanks for organizing this Sean&Karen.
