Just Green survey finds 1 in 3 to be dangerous, including Disney products... http://www.cnbc.com/id/28030256
Since we don't have Bag'o'Nails or Bag'o'Glass anymore, it's that time of the year again for these stories to come out of the woodwork. They haven't convinced me that their method is scientifically accurate. Here's what the CPSC has to say about their device: http://www.cpsc.gov/BUSINFO/xrffaq.pdf Read about how it's hard to use the machine to give an accurate result with toys. I'm thinking they have their own system to correlate the machine's results with the shape of the toy, etc. And then they've knocked most of the foam chairs since the foam has been....brominated to reduce the chance of a fire that spreads....it's about as bad as the warning labels on children's clothing that it isn't flame retardant. Even though usually.....it's not fire that kills in a fire. It's the smoke. So parents have tight fitting clothing (oh, which may be a factor in SIDS, so which one do you choose?) so their kids will be flame resistive. /end rant
