I just couldn't resist holding the camera over the edge. I like how the curve of the fisheye leans into the turn. WDW Railroad by Harry Shields, on Flickr
I like this one alot! ; Nicely done! ; I would not have thought of this, but will have to try it this summer.
I might just need to do that next month! ; I have done the motion TTA shots from onboard, and even some Disney boats...and I've tried the train going by from outside...but never ON the train. Nice work!
I really wanted a shot of the train at the new Fantasyland Station but never got it. I'll get it next time.
Cool shot, Harry. ; There are a few details along the tracks worth shooting as well - they're on my list for next month.
Dennis, what spots are you talking about? I took a shot of the backside of TMR that I have never seen before. I usually don't ride the train.
I just remember seeing some little things sitting on the left side between Main St. and Frontierland. ; And of course there's the Indian settlement between Frontierland and Carolwood Park. ; (That sounds strange, I'm so used to calling it Toontown. )
I don't recall seeing much of anything except between Frontierland Station and Toontown (animals, Indians, rear of BTMRR etc.) ; The rest of the ride, not so much.
Nice work Harry! I can't think of anything on the left between Main Street and Frontierland either, but I usually sit on the right. ; I still don't have a good shot of outpost desperation at the grade crossing in Adventureland
there are some old wheels, axles, and some picks and hand tools, etc, but you usually are moving at a pace that would make focus acquisition difficult. just saw these artifacts last week, so i'm pretty certain of the locations. some of the stuff is right before the parade route grade crossing, at the base of the crossing light stanchion
