A *very* interesting read from the NY Times, not only of Disneyland but of Robbins Barstow. Who is Robbins? He was an amature filmmaker who's family won a trip to 1956 Disneyland. His 30 minute film of that trip as been admitted into the national film archives. When looking at it, keep in mind the times and what was built - including the space they used. A lot of what Disneyland *IS* is because of what it *WAS*. (Dating myself, I remember the burro rides...)
