Last night while taking some ornament and Christmas tree photos, I heard a rustling noise at my feet, and I knew there was something going on that was verboten. ; Someone...one guess as to who...was told not to go under the Christmas tree - and was chased out from under there several times already. ; But someone finds it irresistible to go under there...and there's absolutely nothing good that can come from someone being under the Christmas tree. ; Someone likes to pull down ornaments. ; Someone likes to climb the trunk of the tree. ; Someone likes to drink the Christmas tree's water. And someone didn't know I had a camera in my hand, and an articulating LCD screen that could reach down by my feet, squeeze between all the presents, and get someone caught red-handed (pawed?):
That's Mickey Meow. ; She's a 5 1/2 year old adopted stray that was screaming her head off in my backyard as a weeks-old peanut-sized kitten. ; I've never had a cat before, having been a 'dog' person, but I love all animals...she's been great, a bit spoiled, and occasionally obnoxious, but always lovable!
Another silly face from the one NOT supposed to be under the tree Thanks guys - I think you're both right - definite guilt, and definitely looking for a handy excuse! She was a complete goofball that night - not only under the Christmas tree, but playing with her favorite spinning toy - it has a round polyester cover over it which she often rips off the machine...I kept the camera in hand that night to photograph more of her play and happened to catch a moment when she lunged under the polyester cover in 'lion stalking' mode to wait for the spinning toy to come within range. ; The light was very low and I had to lie on the ground, but managed to peek the lens under the cover to catch the big, saucer-eyed stalking face: She was doing it again tonight, on Christmas eve, but I didn't have the camera with me. ; She's going to love it tomorrow when all the gifts are being opened and there are piles of wrapping paper and empty boxes to romp through! Merry Christmas all!
