Sounds great except you need to make a reservations and it costs $35 per person instead of just keeping the venues open for anyone who wishes to stop in. http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/bl...world-resort-day-epcot-after-hours-wind-down/
There has got to be something missing. Or this is a "let's have the guests pay us to sweep those pesky photographers out of the park when the park closes at 9!" Because it's private quiet time only!
Seems OK, since it's really only 'closing' 4 spots, all of which are bars that might otherwise be winding down or closed after 9am anyway. So I'd think we photogs could still roam the World Showcase at will, and these 4 bar spots would just be a little more crowded during our night long exposures. I might even try it - I'm usually there that late anyway, and wouldn't mind a spot to sit and have a drink in the park, rather than heading over to Boardwalk where I'd be doing the same!
Nah you'll need to walk to the Boardwalk to get transportation to any of the other resorts or parks /actually I wouldn't put it past them....
Really debating doing this for our May trip. I don;t mind the $35 for a drink and some snacks it it meant that I could wander around a bit to take some pictures. Mu only hesitation is that we would have just finished dinner at 9pm...
To be honest, after Illuminations, you can wander around Epcot for a long time. I've been there 2 hours after close. Did have some trouble walking back to the Epcot resort area. A security guard had to let me out of the International Gateway entrance.
Well, we did it. We booked the After Hours Wind Down at La Cava del Tequila in the Mexico Pavilion and shut down the park afterwards. We were officially the last people out of the pack according to te security team. The adventure was great and glad we did it.
