Thanks to Momma Sue and Papa John (my dad) I am off to Europe on Saturday for a week with Papa John. We will be primarily in Paris and London. I am very excited to get a chance to see Disneyland Paris for a day as well as some time in Normandy to see the beaches and the museums there. Then we will Chunnel to London. The last day before coming home we will head up to Duxford, just outside Cambridge, for the Flying Legends Airshow. They have an even bigger lineup than the show in Reading and plenty of aircraft I have never seen. Needless to say I am looking forward to sharing the shots I get from this trip when I get back!
Super cool. Europe, WWII history, Disney, and planes too - all in one trip! Enjoy - and bring back lots of photos.
Here are a few from the last 2 days, straight from camera with no editing And some proof I was there (with my dad)
Dennis, I heard your voice as it started to rain at Point du Hoc on Tuesday. The trip to Normandy is one I will never forget, being 71 years after the boys from the USA, UK and Canada began saving the world from Hitler. Here are a few shots from my stop
I can say that this airshow did NOT disappoint! To see 11 spitfires fly at once, a B-17 with P-51 escort, and the finale of 25 warbirds (the video has 22 as that was the second pass) at once fly past was once in a lifetime (unless I make a return trip when I make my millions)!
Damn dude... Mamma Sue came up big and you are on top of your game. You have come a long way with your skillz, dude.
There was a lot of that going on that day, we sat right next to some of the press, crazy gear they had! Thanks Tim!
