That first one is amazing to begin with, and this framing technique is the icing on the cake!

Tim, I think I found the tutorial you used (or at least a similar technique), but I have one question--are your borders part of the image, or is it "added on" to the image (so that you don't lose any of the original image by applying the blur)?

    Thanks,
    Tom

the borders on the outside? they are just canvas extensions.
pm me the link and i will let you know if you are on the right track.
this might be a new TMIP article as well.

Here's what I have. The blurred border is actually a part of the image. I'd prefer to make it an extension, but I don't know how to do that:

Not nearly as good as any of yours, but it's a first attempt.

good effort. when you said border I thought you meant the outer most white edge.
I will try to help more with this later.

Anyone know of a tutorial that would show me how to make something similar to these frames in Elements? ; I tried with no success tonight.

    Tim,

Do you have the link for the tutorial that you used to help create this?

Or could you tell me how I could do this myself in Photoshop?

    Thanks!
