Looks like Howie got his groove back. ; Nice set of photos and that's the best Red-wing photo I have seen in quite a while. ; Tough birds to photograph.
forsythe today this morning. finally after looking for almost 4 months got to see the green heron and my first time seeing a Northern Mockingbird
male purple martin bringing bugs for the chicks. gotta get the timing down on this as they move quick
forsythe today today. wish the eagles would get closer. I am very surprised that there is a mature and immature bald eagle still around this time of the year
How did the converter work with focus speed? ; Isn't that why you sent the last one back? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
that was on the tamron 200 -500 John. that is f 6.3 at 500mm and with the 1.4 tamron tele it was f9 so focus was slow and also needed to go to f13 to get sharpness and that required really high ISO. this will be f 5.6 with a 1.4 so focusing will still be fast and it is AF-S where as the tamron was only AF.
I was wondering how you were getting those dragonfly pics. ; Zooms are nice but with the kinds of shooting you do, the 300 with an the 1.4x will be very useful. ; Of course, now you need a second body to keep a short zoom on for when the 300 is too much. LOL
