you carry it around and i'll bring it down, my canon 50mm 1.4, probably going up for sale now that i have the 1.2
I'll carry it! ; That would save me from renting it! ; I might even be interested in buying it if you decided to sell it.
Looks like I'll be the least outfitted one there! I know I won't be able to meet up with everyone every day (family reunion!) but here's what I'll have with me... Sony A100Minolta 50mm 1.7Minolta 28mm 2.8Minolta 80-200mm 4.5-5.6 Nothing fancy! Even this list isn't for sure. I want to travel light for this trip. But then, we'll see... ; I'm really looking forward to meeting y'all!
There's something to be said for traveling light, Samantha. ; I may consider just using one body/lens combo for part of the day, especially if I can leave the rest of the stuff in the car or a locker. Are there any point & shoot users out there waiting to chime in with their short equipment lists? ; Don't be intimidated by all of the high-end equipment you see here. ; The thing we all have in common is the love of Disney.
I agree, traveling light is good too. Nothing wrong with anyone's gear, as long as we enjoy the company and opps. Think we should get a photo of all the gear, just for grins ...
i will be bringing... ; god willing... canon 5dmk2 and canon g10 24-105 L 17-40 L 28-70 L sigma 120-400 canon 28, 50, 85 primes tripod and shooting stick(s) etc. etc.
Powhatan already have carbon fiber walking sticks. ; Want shooting sticks.[nb]I see what your description did there.[/nb]
Agreed with Dennis - traveling light isn't a bad thing at all! In fact, the main reason I bring extra camera bags with me is that I rarely bring my fullKata backpack with all of my gear and lenses to the parks. ; My Kata backpack is sort of like the aircraft carrier base...it stays back at the resort, and the smaller bag loads up with the desired kit choices for the day and heads out. ; I have a medium bag that can handle camera w/attached lens and two additional lenses, plus some accessories like filters and such...and I have a small bag that can basically handle camera with one attached lens, and maybe squeeze a tiny prime in too. ; I decide what I intend to use that day, and bring the bag size I need. ; Often, I travel with just the camera and one lens. And if the weather looks poor for the day, I've also just grabbed by T100 ultra-compact and left everything else behind! ; A small sandwich baggie in the back pocket gives me the weatherproofing I need for the little cam, and I'm good to go. BTW - Amendment to my kit list: ; Officially adding the DSLR-A550 body to the kit. ;
That would be some picture, wouldn't it?! Justin, I might have to sneak a peek at the 550. ; ; I'd love to know what you think about it.
I'll second (or is it third or 4th by now). ; If it wasn't for pixelmania plus the sunset safari that I will be doing at the end of my trip, I would be carrying my point & shoot at WDW. ; I normally carry my point & shoot at WDW because I don't like carrying my SLR with equipment on the rides. ; If you run into me at the parks after pixelmania (I'll be there until the 15th) most likely you will see me with my point & shoot.
With all this gear making it's way to Pixelmania! it looks like a "Show & Tell" session may be in order
Craig, they're flat, either for a ; 4x6 mount or the Cokin "P" mount..... I have the Cokin Blue/Yellow Polarizer (and a Tiffen Grad Blue Filter) for the P Mount; I don't have the 77 ring for the mount though...58 and 72 only. I didn't like the P mount; vignetted big time at 20mm with a 72mm thread. You can see what I couldn't crop out - lower right hand corner. Blue:
