Kiki - You will need to teach me some of those photoshop skills. Mine are minimal at the moment, but here is one I did with layers a couple years back.

The process I used on this one was not too hard. The hardest part was taking a copy of the original pic & completely erasing the background leaving only the 'Characters'. I then took a copy of the original lightened the image before laying the one with the blank background over it. Once that was complete, I used the Coloring Book Art effect on the new image. Putting the image of just the characters over the lightened image allows the characters to pop out with a little bit of a 3D effect.

Great work here, everyone--I love some of what you can accomplish with CS3. I've done a lot with it, and still feel I've only used about 5% of its features.
