The weekend trip for Wishes came about on Thursday, when my daughter came down stairs crying terribly. Wishes is her absolute favorite thing in WDW. So with having the 4 days off, we are driving (yes, driving) down through the night Thursday and will have Friday and Saturday to see Wishes. Then we start home Sunday afternoon. We will be at Boardwalk from July 18-26 and then Amanda and I will be there from the night of Sept 20 through the 24th. Then Pixlemania. I feel like that @ddindy guy with this many trips.
Just saw a tweet from Lent Testa stating that he would be surprised if DAK did not bring back evening EMH, especially with them going away at Studios. That would be nice!
So you're talking about opening night of Rivers of Light not Pandora. Heading down next weekend for February break... Ya know, I'm crying about Wishes too. Can I catch a ride???
Yup, this week, just for Wishes. Did get an ADR for Skipper Canteen, so I will be able to have at least a beer or something! Room for 1 more in the car!!!
If you weren't in a hurry and were going through Baltimore in the daytime, I'd tell you to swing by the aquarium. We have corporate passes at work.
That's the way I do it, @jbwolffiv, quick weekend trips for targets of oppurtunity. You'll have me beat this year; I only have one more WDW trip plus a Disneyland trip planned this year.
I have seen mostly lukewarm reviews of Rivers of Light so far. They seem to be in the 5.5-6.0 range out of 10. BUT.... if it (plus Pandora) helps to keep DAK open at night on a permanent basis, than I am all for it. PM2017, DAK night-time photo meet! Book it!
Aaaaannnnnnnnnndddd with DHS being not much there, MAYBE we do morning at DHS and evening at DAK. That would give us 2 nights at DAK!
So, it is official for me now, just paid for airfare for Dec 6-11. Now to decide on where to stay, hmmmmmm?
LOL! I actually sat down last weekend and looked at my "John Funds" and figured out I have enough for my trip with Amanda in Sept. and enough to cover Pixelmania in Dec. Now, PM2K18 is probably not gonna happen as I need time to replenish the "John Funds!"
For those of us lucky enough to fly Southwest, their Travel Tools page says we can make reservations for December starting May 18. Mark your calendar!
Stolen from the Diz Boreds: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party dates are as follows: November: 8, 9, 12, 14, 16, 17, 26, and 28, 2017 December: 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 17, 19, 21, and 22, 2017 (outrageously high) Ticket prices have not been announced as of the time of this post, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know when they’ll go on sale and what the cost will be. The planning board still has to decide the official Pixelmania XMAS party date but I'm thinking this info will help those that like to attend more than one. ~Joanie
I would expect prices to be in line with last year. The parties (at least the ones I attended) didn't seem to be selling out like prior years. I think they found the limit there.
Prices in line with last year??? This is Disney, so we should expect at least a $5 increase and a possible reduction in the number of AP discount nights. (But that's just my soapbox talking; it's not even a rumor.)
Just a reminder from the Southwest Airlines site: "On May 18, 2017 we will open our schedule for sale through January 7, 2018. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently." ~ J
