Stained glass window honoring Johann Sebastian Bach, Thomaskirche [St. Thomas Church], Leipzig, Germany. Bach was organist and choirmaster there for over 20 years.
The reef of Norman's Woe as seen from the Hammond Castle - Cape Ann, Massachusetts. The reef was the setting for Longfellow's poem, The Wreck of the Hesperus.
Footbridge, Boothbay Harbor, Maine. The footbridge is a century old and connects the main part of town with the "East side." The grayish building the the left of center, is directly on the bridge. In the past it has been used for many things including an artist's studio/gallery and gift shop. Living quarters were also included. Today, it is a wholly residential cottage.
One of numerous similar statues erected in the late 19th Century. They are located throughout New England, often in town squares, to honor those local soldiers who died in the "Great Rebellion". This one is in Camden, Maine.
