Those little pics are clickable~ Vans are huge still! Just not always in checker form~ My kid lives in Vans. *as a matter of fact, the purple shoe you can kinda see in the photos above are Vans.
Now that Halloween is out of the way, it's time for Christmas! Here is one of my candles, with some Christmas tree bokeh: Clicking the image will take you to its Flickr page, where you can navigate to my WDW, Christmas, and kitten & puppy shots!
Oooo... I can hear the carols playing in the background. Around here the Canadian Geese are heading to warmer climates. Here's a particularly bossy one annoying his traveling party.
Thank you both You've never experienced really soft fur til you've hugged an Akita~ Kayda is a big fat sweetheart. I am honored to have her in my home.
Thank you Craig The color she used made the pictures. I simply layered a B&W copy over the color original and erased the B&W where I wanted color to show thru. I got the idea to try it when looking at those b&w greeting cards that use a touch of red. Most of the places we were were very cramped. I made her stand in front of a busy wall with the promise that I would edit the background out for her. Her flowers were roses and it was easy to layer a B&W shot of flowers in behind them.
ColleenMarie did you erase or did you use a layer mask? I have done similar things and found using layer masks easier because I make so many mistakes that I simply can paint the mistakes back in.
I use the eraser....but I zoom in really tight, save as I progress, erase with multiple short strokes for an easier "undo" and save originals seperate from the work in progress.
