Hi Sean, IMHO you'd only really use it if you're going to shoot the original and best Fantasmic! ; Or go to the World Famous San Diego Zoo. ; Otherwise probably not.

 

I would go with the 24-105L before the 70-300. ; Or just take both. ;

This is probably too late of a comment since you are on your way to Disneyland already, but I have found that with the kids in tow, it's much harder to haul around more specialized lenses unless you plan on keeping it installed on the body or you will be making trips to the parks solo (as Tim often does) while the the kid is napping

So, I almost exclusively use my 18-200 and carry my "nifty" 50 in my pocket

 

I just added the Canon 70-300 DO to my arsenal. ; Can't wait to try it out. ; Just landed in Detroit for a brief layover. ; More to come.

Faster than the Incredible was? ; I can't imagine yet I can't wait!

 

Nice little lens, but heavy...size fools you. ; You'll get used to what kind of hotspots will cause the DO haloing, but otherwise an excellent FL on APS-H.
