    Blizzard Beach Tips

    - Don't forget your sunscreen.

    - Measure your child's height before you arrive at the Park so you know which attractions he or she is able to ride. All height requirements are listed on this Web site.

    - Many Disney Cast Members are fluent in more than one language. Their nametags indicate which languages they speak.

    - Study a map of the Park prior to your arrival to become familiar with the location of the attractions that interest you most.

    - We recommend wearing one-piece swimsuits on the more thrilling attractions, including Humunga Kowabunga at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and Summit Plummet at Disney's Blizzard Beach. In addition, swim attire with rivets, buckles or exposed metal is not permitted on the attractions.

    - Lockers, towels and life vests for children are available for rent. Life vests are provided free of charge for Guests who wish to leave an identification card.

    - Arrive early if you wish to secure a lounge chair.

    - Disney's Water Parks have quick service restaurants and snack stands with a variety of offerings. There are also picnic areas where you may enjoy your own food, however, please note that no alcoholic beverages or glass containers are permitted.

    - Disney's Blizzard Beach is home to Summit Plummet, the tallest water slide in the whole U.S.A.

    - Parking and inner tube usage are included with admission in each Water Park.

    - When arriving at the Parks, start at the back of the Park and make your way to the front, since the Parks tend to fill up faster in the front.

    - Tired of zipping down water slides? Both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon have "lazy rivers" that circle the entire Park. Hop in and relax.

    - Bring water shoes when visiting the Water Parks. The ground can get hot and so will your feet.

    - During the busy summer months, the best time to visit a Disney Water Park is after 3 pm

    - Look for locker, towel and life jacket rental at Snowless Joe's - to the right after you enter.

    Typhoon Lagoon: Shark Reef

My eldest DD and I did the shark Reef at Typhoon Lagoon.
On a prior visit we did the no charge swim, but found it too short, lingering is not encouraged and you only spend about 90 seconds in the water

The next visit to Typhoon Lagoon we chose the S.A.S. Adventure, Surface Air Snorkeling, ; using a pony tank a small air tank, small ; SCUBA regulator and a buoyancy vest to keep you on the surface. After a quick orientation session you're in the water $20 four a half hour swim on the Shark Reef.

It was soon after the park opened and the attraction wasn't busy. The CM's let us swim for close to an hour on the reef for no extra charge.

    If you're a group, get as many photopass photographs as you can. ; The disc that you can purchase at about 130usd is totally worth it if you have about 200-300 pictures and that you divide it by 4. ; Also, you can add additionnal passes for 30 days. ;

So let's say that you are two couples visiting Disney for a week, and that you also have a couple of friends who are visiting the same month, you can put all you photographs together and have one big photopass deal.

It is especially usefull when you want to have pictures of your whole family together.

Great tips, CameraGirl! Very useful, and I found the Teen Tips section quite interesting. Definitely something to keep in mind when our family visits Disneyland, as I remember all the hissy fits I used to throw and I very much want to avoid that with my own teen.

They do this for birthdays too! We took my son to Disneyland for his birthday and he got a pin. All the cast would wish him Happy Birthday throughout the day. It was cute!

They make buttons for every occasion... Birthday, Just Married, Anniversary, Family Reunion and even a blank one to add your own celebration (we made our own for PixelMania 2013).
